Welcome to today’s episode. Let’s talk about today’s guest. We have Jennifer from Gravity Jack. How are you doing today, Jennifer?

Jennifer Richey: Wonderful. Thank you. Thank you for having me on the podcast.

Ernesto: It’s great to have you on. We were discussing a little bit about what Gravity Jack is all about and how long you’ve been in the market. It’s impressive. Let’s give the listeners what they came for. In your own words, can you tell us a little bit about what Gravity Jack is all about?

Jennifer: Yeah, so Gravity Jack was founded in 2009 on the basis of augmented reality, so primarily AR, VR, mobile development, and then we also do some AI and machine learning. We even have a patent portfolio around AR, which is our heartbeat and our passion. We are completely hardware-platform agnostic, so we’ve worked on all kinds of headsets, AR and VR headsets, and of course, iOS and Android. It’s been a wild ride. I always say there’s never a dull moment at Gravity Jack.

Ernesto: I bet. And so that way our listeners could get a good understanding of your company, what are some of the problems that you solve for clients?

Jennifer: Oh, so many! It’s an eclectic array of verticals we’ve worked in. Sometimes we work with innovation groups, oftentimes with marketing teams. For example, we’ve worked on learning, training, and maintenance projects, as well as tourism. One of our clients is the Intrepid in New York. We also did a project in Florida for Discover Crystal River, where we filmed underwater with manatees and created an AR portal so people could experience underwater filming in augmented reality.

We’ve also done apps and games for Oreo Cookie and AR product displays for Samsung, allowing users to see scaled products in their space before purchasing. Trade show experiences are another area we excel in because they allow for captive audiences and immersive demonstrations. So whether it’s marketing, education, or product visualization, we solve a wide range of challenges.

Ernesto: That’s amazing, what you guys are doing. And how does your audience typically find out about you? What would you say is your top client acquisition channel?

Jennifer: Honestly, because we’re B2B, most of our clients find us through SEO and search engine optimization. AdWords also plays a significant role. We’ve experimented with various marketing strategies, but meeting prospects where they are in their searches has been our most effective approach.

Ernesto: Okay, awesome. And while I am here on the website, our listeners can check it out at GravityJack.com. What role does the website play in your client acquisition?

Jennifer: Huge for us! Oftentimes, potential clients visit the website to learn more about AR, VR, or digital experiences. The website serves as a visual portfolio showcasing the types of projects we’ve worked on. From an analytics perspective, the portfolio is where users spend most of their time, which makes sense. We also make it easy for visitors to contact us with CTAs throughout the site.

Ernesto: Great. As far as marketing strategies for lead conversion, are there any tools or methods you’d recommend?

Jennifer: Every company and vertical is different, but I’d say ensure your landing pages are highly relevant to what people are searching for. Also, knowing when and where to place ads is key. For example, as a B2B company, we don’t need to advertise in games. Understanding your audience and tailoring strategies is essential.

Ernesto: Definitely. Let’s switch gears a little bit, Jennifer, and talk about you as a leader. As the Chief Strategy Officer at Gravity Jack, what are some key tasks you focus on in your day-to-day work?

Jennifer: I’m heavily involved in sales and client discussions. Often, clients come with ideas, and I help assess whether they’re on the right track or if a different technology—AR vs. VR, for example—might better suit their needs. I also focus on our long-term plans, team development, and internal projects like updating our website. There’s always something exciting to work on.

Ernesto: Definitely. Let’s jump into our next section, which is the rapid-fire question round. Are you ready, Jennifer?

Jennifer: Let’s do it!

Ernesto: First off, what’s the last book you read?

Jennifer: Kingdom Economics. It’s a fascinating read—highly recommend it.

Ernesto: What is one single thing your company is focused on the most right now?

Jennifer: We’re currently in a regulation crowdfunding round on StartEngine.com, and we’re actively fundraising for a Series A to develop Wartribe of Binyamin, a mobile AR game combining augmented reality and AI.

Ernesto: If there were no boundaries in technology, what’s one thing you’d want fixed for your role as a marketer?

Jennifer: It’s not the technology—it’s people’s adoption of it. I wish brands were more proactive and forward-thinking when it comes to leveraging technology.

Ernesto: If you could automate one repetitive task, what would it be?

Jennifer: Explaining who we are and what we do to new clients. It has to be personal, but I wish it could be automated to save time.

Ernesto: Lastly, you’ve been with Gravity Jack for 14 years. What’s one piece of advice you’d give your younger self starting out as a marketer?

Jennifer: Be bold. It took me too long to be confident in asking tough questions early on. It saves time, money, and effort in the long run.

Ernesto: Great advice, Jennifer. Thanks so much for being on the show today. If someone forgets everything about this interview, what’s the one thing they should remember about Gravity Jack?

Jennifer: That we’re technologically eclectic and committed to executing excellence for our clients.

Ernesto: For our listeners, you can check them out at GravityJack.com. They’ve been creating AR and VR experiences since 2009. Jennifer, thank you so much for joining us. To our listeners, thanks for tuning in. Looking forward to our next episode of Pathmonk Presents. Thanks, Jennifer!

Jennifer: Thank you!
