Let’s talk about today’s guest. We have Dalvana, Global Marketing Coordinator for Monetize More. How are you doing today, Dalvana?

Dalvana Lopes: I’m great, Ernesto. Super happy to be here. Thanks a lot for the invitation. It’s an honor for me.

Ernesto: It’s great to have you on today’s episode, and, well, Dalvana, I’m sure our listeners are tuning in, wondering what Monetize More is all about. So let’s kick it off with that. In your own words, can you tell us a little bit more?

Dalvana: That’s a great one. I like to refer to Monetize More as a dating app, but instead of connecting two people, we connect a website with ads. We want to find the best ads for the best websites. We are in the area of ad technology, so if you want to grow your business and have a website, if you use Google Ad Exchange or Google Adsense, you need someone to manage your ads and improve your performance using the best techniques. That’s what Monetize More does.

Ernesto: Definitely important, right? There’s a lot of spending out there, so it’s crucial to know what we’re doing. On that note, what would you say is the key problem you guys like to solve for people at Monetize More?

Dalvana: Yeah, we offer not only ad optimization services but also a lot of technology tools. One of them is our PubGuru platform, where website owners can see all their results, track UTMs, and monitor performance across various websites they are involved with. We also work in many different countries, so strategies that work in Africa or Asia can often be applied on websites in South America and North America as well.

Ernesto: Interesting. So, is there a specific vertical or segment that you target? Who would be your ideal ICP?

Dalvana: Yeah, it’s website owners who make more than $5,000 a month with ads on their websites. Of course, we comply with a lot of Google policies, so it’s essential to adhere to these guidelines. We work with sites that have video ads, apps monetized through ads, and traditional websites.

Ernesto: Definitely important. Great to hear. So how would someone typically find out about Monetize More? Is there a top client acquisition channel for you guys?

Dalvana: Yes, we use a lot of YouTube videos, some PPC campaigns, and recently, we’ve started working with influencers in the tech space. As I mentioned before we started, we also participate in key events in Brazil related to digital marketing and affiliate marketing. We make sure to be present at these events to introduce ourselves to relevant audiences.

Ernesto: Interesting, right? Influencers can be quite valuable, especially in tech. Great strategy there for you guys. For our listeners, where can they find you?

Ernesto: What role does the website play in client acquisition?

Dalvana: For us, the website is crucial because we work with websites ourselves. It’s where we showcase our business cases, technology, and platforms we develop for different types of businesses. Our website not only shares testimonials but also offers sample tools and allows visitors to connect with our representatives.

Ernesto: Alright, that makes sense. On that note, are there any tools, tips, or methods you’d recommend for website lead generation?

Dalvana: Yes. Be clear about what you do, and don’t be afraid to use humor in your copywriting. We say we’re like a dating app for websites and ads, which keeps things relatable. Also, offer valuable information that’s useful to your audience, even if they aren’t ready to buy yet. This creates a sense of trust, and the deals will come naturally.

Ernesto: Love that insight, Dalvana. Thank you for sharing. Let’s switch gears a bit and talk about you as a leader. As the Global Marketing Coordinator at Monetize More, what are some key tasks you focus on day-to-day?

Dalvana: Right now, we’re really focused on educating our market. Many of our clients, whom we call “publishers,” start by thinking of their website as a side project. We teach them to approach it as a long-term business. We organize webinars to share best practices, discuss Google policy updates, and interview successful publishers. These webinars provide content for our social media channels in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, as well as our YouTube channels.

Daily, I manage content creation, coordinate with our ad optimization and customer success teams to ensure client satisfaction, and oversee our LinkedIn account. It’s a lot of coordination, but it’s rewarding.

Ernesto: Sounds like a full plate! How do you stay updated with trends and strategies in the marketing world?

Dalvana: I follow Rock Content, which is a great resource from Brazil. I also love TED Talks and various podcasts. We even have our own online event, Pub Hour, which is a “happy hour” for publishers. And I learn a lot from our clients, as they often have unique perspectives from different countries.

Ernesto: First up, what’s the last book you read?

Dalvana: The Talent Code by Daniel Coyle. It’s about how consistent practice builds a substance in your brain called myelin, which enhances performance. The book interviews successful people and breaks down the science behind talent and persistence.

Ernesto: Interesting! Next, if there’s one repetitive task you could automate, what would it be?

Dalvana: Social media content creation. It takes a lot of creativity and consistency, and it would be fantastic to have AI that could handle it perfectly.

Ernesto: Agreed. With your experience, what’s one piece of advice you’d give yourself if you were to restart your journey as a marketer?

Dalvana: Always stay open to opportunities. Listen to people who understand your clients, and make an effort to connect directly with your audience whenever possible. It makes a huge difference in understanding what truly resonates.
